Obituary of Barbara Karen Zimmer

Barbara Karen Zimmer, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at home on August 22, 2026, at the age of 70. 

Born on October 1, 1955, in St. Thomas, Ontario, Barb lived her life to the beat of her own drum. Raised in Aylmer by her late parents, Bill and Margaret Flack, Barb's journey eventually brought her to Stratford, where she made a life for herself that she truly enjoyed. 

Barb was known for her immense love of animals, Harley-Davidsons, and her wonderful sense of humour. She could always find the funny side of life's curves and turns, and she would want those who knew and loved her to choose laughter over tears as they remember her. 

She will be deeply missed not only by her family, but also by the many people she met along the way who became like family to her.

Barb was a loving mother to her daughter Jennifer and a proud grandmother to Nadine. She is survived by her partner Chris; daughter Jennifer; granddaughter Nadine; son-in-law Craig; sisters Jane and Nancy; and nieces Kelly and Jill.
