Sending our warmest thoughts to you and hoping that these two are together laughing about something. As fellow travellers, Gail always worried so much about Pat being okay. The love of horses must be a Vansickle thing…sometimes when we went to the trailer we would have to take the long way because there was a farm that had Clydesdales and Gail would love to stop and watch them.

My condolences to Janice, Eileen and Bob and the extended family. Although I never met Pat in person, I had the pleasure of exchanging a few playful comments with her when I was conducting Zoom lessons while Janice was visiting. From those brief interactions, I got the sense that Pat had a wonderful, wry sense of humour and was very likeable.
Janice is a very dear friend, and I have always admired the love and devotion she showed in caring for and supporting Pat. It was clear how much they meant to one another. Pat was very fortunate to have such a close and loving relationship with her siblings. I know they will miss her terribly, but I hope the many stories, laughter and memories they shared will bring them comfort and keep her close in the years ahead.

Pat’s dry sense of humour caught my attention when we first met at Eileen’s candle party. I will always admire how brave you were facing this wretched cancer. Watching Eileen’s devotion and care for Pat is also a beautiful memory of her life that I shall hold in my heart.

I met Pat through Janice and have fond memories of lots of laughter when we got together. I'm glad that I got to visit Pat last spring when I was in London. We were still laughing at stories from the old days. Beth and I send our condolences and hugs to Janice, Eileen, and Bob and your families.

I know Pat through my dear friend Janice, and so I remember her through Janice’s stories and memories. What sticks out in my mind is Pat’s sense of humour, her independence and strength, her love of horses and cats, the bond she and Janice shared.

Jan, Bob, and Eileen
I am remembering Pat during our attendance at The Pines High School, in Chatham. We double dated, attended our graduation service and prom, plus a myriad of other adventures. Pat was a genuine true friend, through our near 60 year friendship. I will miss her, but it is comforting to know she has left a place in the hearts of many!
