Obituary of Corn Better

Better: Robert “Corn” a resident of Thamesville, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at the age of 79. Born in Chatham, son of the late John and Margaret (MacDougall) Better. Corn worked at Bull Dog Steel Wool in the early days, drove truck for Harold Marcus Trucking and Cochran Industrial Cleaning for many years. He was Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Br.#367, Thamesville. Beloved husband of Peggy (Phillips) Better. Loving dad to Scott Better and Corey Better (Crystal Coles). Proud grandpa of Desiree, Everly and Zach. Dear brother of Ian Better, James Better, Linda Huff, Lou Ann Better. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother David Better, a sister Margaret Wilkins and brother-in-law Lance Huff. The Better family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Friday evening from 6:00 PM – 8:00PM. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
