Obituary of John Van Esse

Van Esse: John a resident of R.R.#7 Thamesville, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at the age of 66.  Born on the farm, son of the late Peter and Anna (VanIngen) Van Esse. John worked as a millright for many years, and raised Black Angus cattle. He loved to spend time up at the cottage and spent many years volunteering with 4-H. Beloved husband and best friend of Sandra MacKinnon. Loving father to Dallas and Danny MacKinnon. Proud grandpa of Monroe and Trenton. Dear brother of Gerald Van Esse (Marlene), Henry Van Esse, and Mickey Van Esse. Sadly missed by a niece and 4 nephews. At John’s request cremation will take place.
