Melva was a kind woman that always lit up a room with her beautiful smile. I was lucky to have met her as a teenager and I shared decades of happiness with her. She proudly shared the title Grandma Melva to my children and she never missed a milestone in our lives. We will miss her and always remember her fondly. Love you Lisa, Dan, Morgan, Madison and Kelly

Sending condolences to the Smit boys and their families on reading of Melva's passing. I worked for several years with your Mom at R.J. Simpsons. Looking back it was difficult working there, she was a good worker and such a friendly person. She often spoke of her boys and I know you will miss her.
