Obituary of Barbara Evans
Barbara L. Evans, a resident of Petrolia and formerly of Chatham passed away peacefully at Meadowview Villa in Petrolia on Sunday, July 19th, 2026, at the age of 61.
Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Norman Evans (2015) and Edith (nee Oliver) Evans (2020). She is predeceased by her sister Deb Francoeur (2023) and brother-in-law Ed Francoeur (2018). Survived by brother Terry Evans (Cathy) of Toronto and sister Janet Rumble (Mike) of Thamesville. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews and twelve great-nieces and great-nephews and their families.
Barb was happiest in the quiet moments of life and treasured her time alone. However, nothing meant more to her than family. Visits with family members were cherished moments for her. She has a lifelong admiration for wolves, whose beauty and spirit she deeply appreciated.
Barb’s quiet strength, gentle heart and love for her family will never be forgotten. Although she is no longer with us, the memories she leaves behind will be treasured always.
Cremation has taken place and a Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Blackburn Cemetery, Dresden.
