Wendy and family, Goodreau, and Pilon families.
Phil & I are so sorry to hear of Doug’s passing. I have fond memories of growing up with the Goodreau & Pilon families at McKays Corners, and can say I’ve known Doug since before the beginning of grade school. He was always such a really nice person throughout those growing up years.
I remember when the Pilon family moved to our village, and Doug telling me that he was pretty smitten with one of the Pilon girls.
Turns out, he had met his forever girl, and would spend the rest of his life with Wendy.
What a blessing to be there to witness the beginning of a beautiful life together for those two.
Please know that you are in our thoughts as you go through this difficult time.
Sending our deepest condolences to all.
Phil & Darlene ( Boylan ) St Pierre.

Wendy,so sorry to hear of Doug’s passing. I had not see Doug in over 50 years until he showed up at my mother’s funeral back in 2019. He was a special person and although I hadn’t seen him in many years, every time I was near Dresden he came to mind. So sorry for your loss……Dennis

I am so sorry to hear of Doug's passing. I first met Doug when we did the profession of faith class together at the Dresden CRC. My first impression was that he was so much older than I was since he was married, but during that time I learned that he was a man of deep faith with a gentle spirit. Many times over the years, as I have visited Dresden CRC, we have reconnected for a few words of greeting and catching up and each time I am struck by his humble care for others. Wendy and his kids and grandkids, I wish for you God's continuing care and comfort during this difficult time. Teresa Renkema nee Riepma

I first met Doug when I was a little girl as he hung around my brother Hugh Van Kesteren. Even then I was impressed by his gentleness and kindness, which did not change in all these years. He will be sorely missed here on earth, although I am certain he is welcomed in heaven.
My sincere condolences to you, Wendy, and all your family.

Wendy and family, saddened to hear about the passing of Doug. Doug truly was the Lords' servant, having a servant's heart as he worked alongside of the pastors in the Dresden area for the many years that he served on the Dresden Ministerial. Praying the Lord's comfort over all of you at this difficult time, knowing that Doug is in the Lord's care, hearing the words, "Well done good and faithful servant come and enter your rest."
