Willy walked into my office in the summer of 1984 to buy insurance for his store.He did so because he bought his first auto policy from my dad as a teenager and was treated well. As he said to me at the time the apple does not fall far from the tree.We became friends and he often referred others to my office because I respected my customers and deeply cared for them.Bill Cryderman
We became neighbours in 2011 when we bought the house next to the Saylor's. Back then it was white siding. 'Willy' always had cheery word for us when he was mowing the lawn. After a few years he sold 'Willies Corners' and moved into town. Every once in awhile we would see him at the grocery store or out on Main St or buying lottery tickets at the pharmacy. A sweet man who we will miss.

Darryl Stonefish - I visited Willie some morning as soon as the store opened, he had ahost of stories and I like hs story of taking his boys to play ball at the Chesley tournam! great time for sure! so long Bill
Willy was 1 of those people you always enjoyed seeing, cause you knew it would be good conversation. He would visit the general store, sometimes bringing photos to share. We'll miss you Willy!
My condolences to Bill's family. Bill was a good friend to my brother Leslie Austen. I heard Bill's name mentioned over and over by my brother. I was pleased to read of his life in the obituary. Things I never knew.
