Dear Christina,
It has been many years but when I first met your Dad through meals on wheels, I wondered if he was related to you. I am so sorry for your loss. Your Dad didn't really talk to me but he had a sweet nature and I will miss delivering his meals.

My Dad was a no nonsense kind o' guy and if he didn't like you, it wasn't a secret haha! He was notoriously grumpy tempered with a good dose of humour when it was called for. He fought a long, tough fight after having a brain bleed a year and half ago- getting him to use a walker was a battle as you can imagine if you knew him. After this surgery, he recovered well, and he was back in his own apartment through the help of his children, friends and PSWs. I want to acknowledge the daily effort of his eldest daughter Elizabeth to keep Dad at home, where he wanted to be- without her, we couldn't have kept his wish of being home as long as we did and her devotion will always be cherished by the rest of us siblings and of course, cherished by Dad every day that he got to sit in his chair watching sports and looking at the goings on outside his patio window.
