Marilyn & Cleo. One can hardly think of one without the other. Marilyn was the epitome of being a hostess. She made every ordinary moment feel special. She taught me so much about generosity and goodness. She exemplified family loyalty and then made me feel like family. She will be dearly missed.

Marilyn was more than just our sister and aunt — she was a constant source of warmth, laughter, and love throughout our lives. Growing up, Doug and I (David) cherished every visit to the McFadden family farm on the 8th concession. The many memories we hold dear include sunny pool parties with laughter and joy-filled family get-togethers, McKerrall Christmas celebrations, and unforgettable Forsyth family reunions that brought everyone together.
Marilyn had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved. Her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of her famous Bundt cakes and creamy macaroni and cheese, and her heart was always open to sharing. Whether cheering on her grandchildren at hockey games, dance recitals, or piano performances, or organizing wonderful gatherings by the pool followed by ice cream treats, she poured her love into every moment with family.
We are so grateful that my wife, Divania Loftus, and her mother, Soma Naidoo, had the opportunity to visit Marilyn & Cleo many times over the years. They both grew to love her and Cleo deeply and will always remember their kindness, her feisty spirit, and the joy she brought to every visit.
Marilyn’s deep faith, her devotion to Cleo, and her unconditional love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. We find comfort knowing she is now at peace, walking hand in hand with Cleo once again, perhaps already planning the next heavenly gathering and dancing to their favorite country songs.
Mom (Eileen), Doug, and I (David), along with Divania and Soma, send our deepest love and condolences to Pam, Barry, Jeff, Dean & Adam and the entire McFadden family. You were blessed with an extraordinary mother and grandmother, and we were blessed to call her our sister and aunt.
“Thank you, Marilyn, for the lifetime of beautiful memories. We will miss you dearly, but we know heaven has gained a beautiful Angel, your work on earth now done.”
With Love,
Eileen Loftus, Doug Loftus, David Loftus, Divania Loftus & Soma Naidoo

We don’t even know where to begin other than we were in complete shock and heartbroken and tears began to fall from our face
both Marilyn and Cleo truly wee amazing people whom I hold dear to my heart and think of often and are truly an example of Christ and Christ love for us. I am also reminded of how You both are always smiling and very cheerful and happy to talk to and took so much interest in our lives and how we where doing. As well You where always willing to lend a hand where You are truly loved by all and loved and missed by us.
Your smile and your sweet still voice. You are so sweet and amazing couple of God and your love for the Lord is so evident and someone I look up to who has a very dear place our heart as well and will never be forgotten. Thank you for everything, your smiles and your hugs and prayers cards (which I still have today and will forever.) etc. They will never be forgotten, and they are treasured deep down in my heart and have a very special place in my heart. You both may never truly know how special you are to us and the world of differences and impact you made in our life. l You both play a very vital role in who I am today Spiritually. You also where a part of our special day when we became husband and wife and your marriage is truly an example of what marriage truly is. As well both of You spent so many hours helping and taking care of others and pouring into there lives as well. Such an inspiration.
Marilyn’s yummy Coffee Cake, every time we make it and the whole house smells so heavenly, and we can’t help but think and be reminded of You both. I am also reminded of the many times that they had the youth group over swimming and made us hotdogs. Unlike most people their age they came out and joined us. As well You hosted my going away party when I left for missions for 6 months. These are just a few examples of the many special things that You did for me that I will treasure in my heart forever. I have every letter that you wrote me while I was away too and will forever.
The obituary truly algins with what I said and more. As well as things that I never knew before.
A journey remembered

and love, courage and compassion, humor

A trail bright with hope that invites us

Praying you'll be comforted
with precious memories

Barry, Jeff and Pam, and Dean. The love that your mom and dad instilled in you will carry on throughout your lives. I enjoyed visits with your mom when I went to visit my dad at the Oaks. I'm not sure if they remembered each other once they were in the memory care ward, but both were able to share their love for their children. Love and peace , Marion & Al Kominek
