To all of the Sproule family. Jo and I send our sincere condolences at this time of Gladys’ passing. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you as you gather together.
This may be a silly memory, but I’d like to share it with you. For me it seems to capture a snapshot of her quiet lifestyle, yet important contribution to her neighbourhood and family.
When I heard of Gladys’ passing, I automatically thought of my elementary school days. You see my buddy Jim lived right across the street from the school. So, while we would be out in the playground during lunch hour or recess playing soccer or softball, we would sometimes see Glad across the street in her driveway or front yard. Sometimes one of my noon hour buddies or myself would holler over a “hi Mrs. Sproule” and she would always give us a friendly smile and a wave. I know it’s a little memory and I have many more, but this one has been dominating my memory of Mrs. Sproule.
She was a lovely lady who helped Tville be a great town for a kid to grow up in.
May all the Sproule family be comforted by your countless memories and stories of this lady named Gladys.
