I have known Phyllis all my life. I enjoyed the Rosebrough family picnics with the whole family. I also had breast cancer and talked to her about it. She had a great talent for crafts. I will miss her.

Oh how sad i am to hear my dear friend and "survivor" Phyllis has left us but I do have wonderful memories of our time together at the old "Landmark Inn" Thunder Bay where a bunch of us were undergoing Breast Cancer treatment at the Northern Ontario Cancer Centre , We all got along and had some wonderful "party & social times" in the big common room I remember Phyllis as a fun loving happy person not letting our radiation burns get her down . I too was up for it and shared a great friendship with Phyllis we exchanged address, phone & email when our treatment finished though Phyllis left for home a good month before me .I was the organiser of many events main one being a reunion each year in August of all patients from the old "Landmark" Phyllis & hubby Art were always in attendance at the Springwater Park here in Barrie On.
Oh what lovely times we had at the park sharing all our food ,tea & coffee the whole day catching up on everyone health issues from 2000 -2006 when I had to discontinue as I had serious health issues but many of us kept in touch with Xmas Cards & emails. Phyllis & I last touched base in 2022-23 when they left the farm for a move into town she wrote saying how happy she was in a very nice place though dear Art was down with a broken hip,he had a wonderful caregiver in Phyllis
I too fell and broke my Right Hip in 2023 and have not been in touch with Phyllis though i never forgot her so today I am so very sad to not be there to say goodbye to a dear friend someday we will meet again in the wild blue yonder .Rest in peace Phyllis you have earned it .
Loving thoughts & memories

Thanks to aunt Phyllis I stayed in touch with the 'Canadian-Dutch' family. A great addition to Art. Grateful, thoughtful and always quick to respond, even during difficult circumstances. A lovely aunt despite the great distance.

I first met Phyllis at Dawn Mills United Church Sunday School where her dad Norma Burrell was Sunday School Superintendent for many years. I was so pleased to reconnect with her more recently, at my parents' funerals, and then at Breast Buddies fundraising events, and on Facebook.
Throughout all these years, she has impressed me as being a kind and thoughtful person.
I'm glad I knew her.

We send our DEEPEST SYMPATHY to the family on the Passing of Phyllis. We shared many paddling times together with members of the Breast Buddies! Although being humble, she was an enthusiastic member of our survivor group resulting in lasting memories to cherish. She has crossed the FINISH LINE of life on Earth!

With the deepest of admiration and gratitude, the kids of Erma and Don Lehrbass send our sincerest condolences. Since Phyllis and Art Warmerdam introduced our parents to each other decades ago, our families have been connected in friendship. During family visits, Phyllis was always the perfect host and guest - engaging everyone authentically, lifting spirits with gentle humour and joy, and encouraging our family through countless acts of kindness. We will miss Phyllis' sparkle and generosity of spirit.

To Phyllis’s family my deepest condolences. I am one of he cousins the granddaughter of Lucy Butcher. I grew up up with her and remember all of the good times we had at the Rosebrough family picnics where Uncle Raymond brought watermelon and we played all kinds of games and ate great food. We would go swimming as well in the St. Claire River. I kept in touch with her and Marge when I had breast cancer. I know she had a great time rowing for cancer. She was very artistic and I loved seeing her finished projects online. I’m sorry I never met her family. I will miss her

Our dad was Gordon, one of Aunt Phyllis's many brothers. Dad joined the Navy in his early 20s so as a family we did not get to visit very often. When we did there were many memories made and we will remember them forever. Dad would call every Christmas to talk to his whole family as everyone gathered at Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Art's. When I took my children who were very young to meet family, you let us stay with you and made us feel at home. We attended several family reunions over the years when we were younger. Mom sends her condolences as do Jean and me. Thank you for the memories and we are thinking of you all at this difficult time. Love your family from Nova Scotia, Patricia, Joan, Jean and our families.
