Obituary of Sharron Orr

Sharron Orr, a resident of Thamesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Chatham-Kent Hospice at the age of 85. Born in Thamesville at the Dew Drop Inn, the daughter of the late Evan “Roy” and Hilda (Vickery) McBrayne. Beloved wife of 60 years to William "Bill" Orr. Loving mother of Stephen Orr (Mendy) and Kim Schilbe (Al). Cherished grandma “Gma” of Jesse Schilbe, Alanna Schilbe (Zach), Katie Orr and Chris Orr. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as many friends who became chosen family. Predeceased by brother Jim McBrayne Sr (the late Betty); sisters-in-law Betty and Patricia and nephew Greg Forsyth. Sharron worked at Vivian’s Dry Cleaning of Thamesville for over 40 years where she had many fond memories. At Sharron's request there will be no services. Cremation will take place with private family interment in Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville at a later date. If desired, donations may be made to Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
