Obituary of Jean Eleanore Johnston

Johnston: Jean E. (Myers), a resident of R.R.#1 Bothwell, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the age of 93. Born in Brooke Twp., daughter of the late Charlie and Jessie (McLachlan) Myers. Jean was a member of the Bothwell Baptist Church. She was a beloved teacher in local area schools for many years before her retirement. Jean was stylish and spirited to the end. Beloved wife of over 56 years to the late Lloyd S. Johnston (2012). Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Eugene Johnston (Cheryl) of Goderich, Lana Kish (John) of Newbury, and Linda Kulich (Dean) of Goderich. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Billy Johnston (Kelsey), Jesse Johnston (Stacey), Hillary Pedros (Matt), Kelsey Johnston (Matt), Candice Kish (Taylor), Codie Kish, Coy Kulich (Catherine), Chase Kulich and great-grandchildren Stinson, Irelyn, Ellie, Harper, Georgia, Memphis, Adam, Robert, Daisy, Carter, and Kiera. Dear sister-in-law to Nancy Myers, Marion Matt, and Clifford Pringle. Predeceased by brothers John, Don (Evelyn); sisters Phyllis (Ross), Willa (Nelson), Bernice Pringle, and brothers-in-law Ken, Don (Marilyn), Gordon (Jean), Harold (Margaret), and Norman (Phyllis). At Jean’s request cremation has taken place. The Johnston family will receive friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon. Interment of cremains in Bothwell Cemetery at a later date. Donations to Four Counties Health Services Foundation or the Bothwell Baptist Church (c/o 280 Peter St, Bothwell, ON N0P 1C0).
