Obituary of Loretta Jean Ladd

Loretta Jean Ladd (Chandler), at the age of 92 went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, January 15, 2026.  Loretta leaves behind her loving husband Lloyd. They were first loves and married on August 21, 1954 spending almost 72 years together as best friends. Loretta is the oldest of Elmer and Genevieve (Davis) Chandler. She will be missed by her siblings Madeline (Ernie ) Richardson, Joyce Simmons, Irene (Richard) Travis, Virgil Chandler, Billie (Rhoda) Chandler and reunited in heaven with Lawrence Chandler, Ruby Dudley, Alva (Irvin) Simmons and Clifford Chandler who have gone before her. Sadly Loretta leaves behind her two loving and loyal sons Curtiss (Darlene), Nolan (Rebel-Lin) and will join Baby Boy Ladd (predeceased Oct. 1957). Loretta's cherished daughters Corliss Ladd, Melanie Solomon (the late Doug), Judy Morency (Darrin) and is holding the hand of Lisa Russell (John) who went to heaven in 2020. Loretta loved her nine grandchildren Jeremy, Brodie, Daniel, Mandy, Shawn, Aaron, Meghan, Kali and Brandy as well as 13 great grandchildren that made her smile at the sight of them. We will be saying our final good-byes on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden with viewing from  1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and the funeral service to follow. Cremation will take place with interment in Dresden Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation made to Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated.
