
Obituary of Art Warmerdam
Adrian (Art) Nicholas Warmerdam passed away peacefully at Lambton Meadowview Villa, on Tuesday Sept. 23 at 5 p.m. in his 94th year with his family by his side. Born in Haarlemmerliede, Holland, son of the late Gertrudis Maria Wempe and Christianus Adrianus van Warmerdam, Art immigrated to Canada in 1953. Besides his family his main love was mixed farming and raising cattle - first in Mosa Township then in Enniskillen and Dawn-Euphemia townships. Art was a loyal member of Oil Springs United Church for more than 60 years serving on the manse committee and wherever needed. Beloved husband of Phyllis (Burrell) of 61 years, and loving father of Norman Frank Warmerdam and Lisa May Warmerdam (Jim Randall). Proud grandfather to Adrian (Kristy) Warmerdam, Malcolm (Josh) Warmerdam, Alexander White and Ethan White. Also proud great grandfather of Declan and Ryker Warmerdam. Art was a special uncle to Gerald (Ann) Snoeks, Trudy (Frank) Verberne, Chris Snoeks, and Wilma Lavelle. Art was a beloved uncle to more than seventy nieces and nephews worldwide. He was a dear brother-in-law of Marjory Parkins (Late John) and fondly remembered by the Burrell family. He was predeceased by his sister Alida (Joe) Snoeks, who was his only sibling in Canada, and by 6 brothers and 6 sisters from Holland, Germany, and New Zealand. The Warmerdam family will receive visitors at the Badder Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Friday evening from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Bryan Baxter officiating. Interment will follow at the Dresden Cemetery.
