Obituary of Joe Kozera
Kozera : Leonard Joseph 'Joe', a resident of Bentpath (Dresden), passed away suddenly on Thursday July 10, 2025 while on a work project in Suffolk, Virginia at the age of 62. Born in Sarnia, son of Leonard and Patricia (Williams) Kozera. Joe and Natalie owned and operated Douglas & Kozera Excavating + Environmental. Beloved husband of 39 years and best friend of Natalie (Douglas) Kozera. Loving father of Sasha Kozera- Faye (Hamdy) and Zakary Kozera (Samantha). Proud grandpa of Idris, Issa, Ibrahima, Paisley, Cason, and Rowen. Sadly missed by his mother-in-law Marjorie Douglas (Late Jim); Aunt Lorraine Wasyliw (Late Nick); brother-in-law Rev. James and Rev. Julia Douglas; sisters Lori McCulligh (Jerry),Christine Jennings (Fred), and a brother William (Laurie). Also survived by many nieces,nephews, great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his grandparents Casper and Rose Kozera. Joe embraced every day with a smile, and lived each day to the fullest. He lived by the sentiment that if you enjoy what you do you will never work a day in your life. A loving husband, proud father, and grandfather of 6, he was most proud and grateful for his family.Joe will be missed by his many friends. Cremation has taken place. The Kozera Family will receive family and friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden ON. on Friday July 25, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The Memorial Service Celebrating Joe’s Life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday July 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
