With heavy hearts, the Sharp family announces that Bonnie Sharp (Acton) a resident of Shetland, passed away peacefully at the London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at the age of 66. Born in Woodstock beloved daughter of Jessie (Huctwith) Dobbyn (Late Owen) and the late Duncan Acton (1970). Beloved wife of 45 years to Ron Sharp. Loving mother of Marcie Sharp (Jared Leeson), Holly Sharp, Andy Sharp (Keri). Proud grandma of Jake, Robin, Gibson, Eddison, and Hudson. Forever loved by her furry companion Jolene. Dear sister of Teresa Acton (Gord), Michelle Bidner (Todd), Kevin Dobbyn (Amy). Also survived by many brother and sister-in laws, nieces and nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her brother Joe Acton (1993).Bonnie was Ron’s sweetheart since she was 15 years old and over the years they raised a family and farmed together and had many adventures, including wintering in Florida. Over the years she enjoyed many activities like curling and golfing, was talented at crocheting, enjoyed watching musicals live at the theatre, and was an avid crafter and jewelry maker and DIY-er that could see a project and easily replicate it herself. Bonnie worked for years in the cardmaking industry with her talented designs. She loved her flower gardens and bird watching, and her view of the river. Bonnie battled and won many health challenges over the years, including a liver transplant in 1995 and went on to defy the odds by having almost 30 more wonderful years with her family where she was able to see all her grandchildren be born and made it her job to spoil and love them. Her kids adored her and loved her sense of humor, and she was their biggest cheerleader. She was so proud of her son-in-law Jared and daughter-in-law Keri. She will be forever missed by all of us. Cremation will take place. A Celebration of Bonnie’s Life will be held at the Dawn-Euphemia Community Centre, 6213 Mill St., Florence on Saturday June 14, 2025 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
