Obituary of Billy Bilton

Bilton: Billy, a resident of Shetland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia at the age of 62. Born in Chatham, son of the late William "Bill" and Mary Lou (Slack) Bilton. Beloved husband and best friend of Janice (Janicek ) Bilton. Loving dad of Jacie Campbell (Scott) and Mitch Bilton. Dear brother of Karen Lepine (Michael). Loving uncle of Patrick (Fiona) Lepine, Ryan (Shanna) Lepine and and great-uncle of Arya and Noah. Sadly missed by his mother-in-law Mary Janicek (Late Lad) and in-laws Debbie Fellows (Mike), Dan Janicek (Arlene), Diane Thompson (Tom) and their families. A true lover of the land, Bill spent his life working the fields, tending cattle, and finding joy in the rhythm of farm life.  Hockey was another passion of Bill's. Those who were hockey teammates knew full well others should probably keep their head up. Above all, his greatest love was for his family. His unwavering support, pride, and care for his wife and children were felt by all who knew him. Bill leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and the bond of family that will never be forgotten. Cremation will take place. A Celebration of Bill's life will be held at the Dawn-Euphemia Community Centre, 6213 Mill St., Florence on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 4 p.m. - 7.p.m. If desired, donations may be made to Dawn-Euphemia Fire Dept. or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
