Obituary of Rick Clark
Ricky Donald Clark June 20, 1952
It's with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Rick Clark on Saturday, April 19th, at CKHA.
A lifelong resident of Dresden, Rick was the beloved son of the late Don and Shirley (Britton) Clark. He was the devoted husband of 49 years to Terry (Cudney), and a loving father to Christal (Darren) Wills and Candy (Mike) Taylor, both of Dresden. He was a proud and supportive Papa to Jacklyn and Jordan Wills, and Alexis and Max Taylor.
Rick is also survived by his sister Luanne Clark (Brian), and his in-laws Tracy (Harvey) McEachran, Tom (Cathy) Cudney, Toni (Carey) Ivison, and Henry VanEsse. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Trudy VanEsse, and will be missed dearly by many nieces and nephews.
Rick was a proud member and past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 113, and a dedicated cheerleader and chaperone for the LA’s dart team. His passion for cars was evident throughout his life—from his early days restoring classic cars and organizing the Dresden Coachmen Club’s “Picnic in the Park” Car Show, to his work as a salesman at Ellis Motors and Blenheim Chevrolet. He was also the owner-operator of Clark’s Auto Wrecking and Rick’s Appraisal Service.
While Rick had many interests—including camping, music, and supporting his grandchildren in all their activities—his greatest joy was time spent with family. Sunday dinners were a cherished tradition, often enjoyed with NASCAR on the TV and Rick doing his best to win the family pool.
Rick’s warmth, humour, and dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed.
The Clark Family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Tuesday from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM with the Legion Walk Through at 6:30 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Cremation will take place. If desired, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 113, Dresden (c/o 180 St. George St. N. Dresden ON. N0P 1M0) or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
