Obituary of Cheryl Ann Wright
Cheryl Ann Wright (Lapp) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 76. Born in Chatham, the daughter of the late Jack and Mae (Welch) Lapp. Cheryl will be reunited with the love of her life Ron (2015). Deeply missed by her children Tim (Shelly), Tracy, Trish (Jay) and Tara (Derek). The best Granny to Tyler (Alix), Cassidy (Rob), Zander (Ronni), Nash, Brodie, Griffin, Madison (1997) and special great Granny to Berkeley, Weston, August and Jullius. Dear sister and sister-in-law of John Lapp (Gail), Will Lapp (Lynn), Bob Wright (Sally), Bonnie Smith (Charlie), the late Betty Cassetta (the late Eddy) and the late Helen Sharratt (the late Jack). Also missed by favourite son-in-law Steve Swackhammer and best friends Lily Vale and Linda Brooks. Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. Cheryl was always an amazing hostess. Anyone who stopped in would never go hungry or go without a cold Bud Light. Life will not be the same without her. She will be missed beyond words for her kind, loving and generous soul. Her delicious cooking and baking will never be matched. At Cheryl's request there will be no funeral service or visitation. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date with interment in Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville. A special thank you to her favourite PSW Krista. If desired, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Br 367 or the Sertoma Club of Thamesville. Arrangements are entrusted to the John C. Badder Funeral Home, Thamesville.
