Obituary of Jim Coleman

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James (Jim) Glen Coleman, 91, at L.H.S.C., Victoria Hospital, London, on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Jim was born in Euphemia Township, son of the late Francis and Clara (Gore) Coleman.

Jim was a long-time employee of the City of London and was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs (especially when they were winning!). He enjoyed spending time with his family and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand or share a beer or two.

Jim was a loving father to Marnee Hammond (Robert), Jeff Coleman (Leah), Jerome Coleman (Karen), and Victoria Coleman (Tony). He was a proud grandfather of five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He will also be remembered as a cherished companion to Kathleen Belanger.

He is survived by his former spouse, Yvonne Coleman; his sister-in-law, Nancy Coleman; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved son Daniel Coleman, as well as his sisters Dorothy Smith (late Hubert), Marjorie Wilson (late Ivan), Joanne Badder (late Orlo), and his brothers Victor Coleman (late Frances) and Douglas Coleman (Marg).

A visitation will be held at Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm St., Bothwell, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Private Family Interment  will take place at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Bothwell. A Luncheon will be held at the Bothwell Legion following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations by cheque can be made to the Salvation Army Centre of Hope (c/o 281 Wellington Street, London, ON. N6B 2L4) or charity of choice. Online condolences and donations may be made at www.badderfuneralhome.com.

To honour Jim’s life, a celebration in his true “Jimmy style” will be held at a later date. His family invites you to join them in sharing stories, music, and laughter, as we raise a glass or two to a man who touched so many lives with his kindness, love, and unwavering spirit.
