Anne Hodulik

Obituary of Anne Hodulik

Anne eased out of the world peacefully, at home, with her favourite music softly playing, holding her daughter’s hand.  Her last words were ‘love my kids’.  Anne’s calm strength and peaceful energy will be missed.  She will be remembered for her grace, humility and kindness.

Pre-deceased by her husband Joe, parents Jozef and Maria Koncovy and brothers Tony (Mary), Joe and Bill.

Her children, Joe, Rose Naismith (John), and Meg; sister Hellen Meston (Wilf); sisters-in-law Audrey and Anne; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, will miss her love, wisdom, inner strength, gentle voice and always positive outlook on life.

She was ‘Mommy Anne’ to Renee, Tim, Jessica, Craig and kids; Marie, Chris, Brendan + Sophia, Alexander + Katie; Ron, Carol and Hollie.

She loved being an ‘extra grandma’ to Olivia, Berlin, Colter and Harper, they brought such joy to her heart.

Maria, Helen, Theresa, Anne - she cherished your friendship.

Cards sent to Mum from friends over the years, express the safe, peaceful feeling of love and calm that surrounded Mum.

“Anne, I miss your smile, your company.

I miss our discussions and the way you see good in everything.

I miss the aroma of your scrumptious baking and cooking, that welcomes friends and family into your home.

I miss your heart-warming kindness and the comfortable feeling of being in your presence.

To sit in the chair under the telephone while the world passes by is to feel a peace that no meditation could equal.  Anyone could sit in your home, connect to the stars, and understand the true meaning of life.”

Anne’s life was all about kindness, love, peace and giving her best every day.

Kudos to VON nurse Sheri.  Thank you for your gentle care and support over the past few weeks.  You’re a gem.

In memory of Anne, and in her giving spirit, perform a random act of kindness, do a good deed for someone who needs it, reach out to someone who may be lonely.

Donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia or your local hospice would help others ease out of life peacefully and with dignity.
