In his younger years he was a proud member of the Dresden Minor Hockey League. He played for three teams that won OMHA Championships, 1976-1977 Peewee "A" Champions and 1977-1978 Peewee "A" Champions and 1979-1980 Bantam "A" CC Champions. All three were inducted into the Dresden Sports Hall of Fame in 2023. Along with his love of hockey he enjoyed fishing, baseball, golf, hunting, darts and cards. Often friends would gather at their house for fish fries, euchre nights and bon fires. His happiest moments were when friends and family would come to visit. He had all kinds of jobs in the delivery field. His last job was with CBM Cement Company in Wallaceburg.

To know him was to love him, he was tough, opinionated and often challenging, but underneath that exterior there was a really sweet loving guy who would stare at you with those baby blue eyes and a smile on his face which would warm your heart. He was loved by all of his friends and family. He will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 113, Dresden on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 1-4 p.m.
