At Adam’s Request there will be no funeral home visitation A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date Manz: With deeply felt sadness our family announce the passing of Adam Charles Manz, dearly loved husband of Winnifred (Calder) Manz for 70 years. Adam will be sadly missed by both his dearly loved daughter Wynnona and her husband Jim Revell of Thamesville and by his loving grandchildren John, Sheri and great granddaughter Emily Lin Revell of LaSalle, Neal, Lisa and great granddaughters Leah Sydney and Taryn Grace Revell of Thamesville. Adam was their dearly loved and respected Grandee. He will be sadly missed by his brother Ronald (Marge 1996) of Forest, his brother-in-law Robert Calder (Norine 1992) of Kentville N.S., sisters-in-law Greta Calder (Wallace 2006) of Abbotsford B.C., Anne Calder (Spencer 2003) of Indian Head Sask., he will also be fondly remembered and missed by his nieces and nephews, relatives across Canada. Adam was predeceased by his parents George and Louise (Wagner) Manz of Wallaceburg, Ontario and formerly of Regina Sask., his brother Bill of Wallaceburg, John of Dresden, sisters Betty of Chatham and Min of Waterloo, Ontario. Adam enlisted in the Navy at HMCS Queens in Regina. After completing his E.R.A. (Engineering) course he was loaned to the British Navy for convoy and patrol duty on the North Atlantic. Discharged in 1945, re-enlisted in the Naval Veteran’s Reserve Force at HMCS Queens in Regina Sask., where he farmed for several years. Later worked for DDC Ltd., in Wallaceburg, while working there he farmed in Euphemia Twp. The Pioneer District Sales Manager asked him to become an agent for Pioneer Grains. Adam did enjoy the agency and meeting his many customers and neighbours. Upon his retirement he sold his farm, moved to Thamesville closer to his family. Adam was a 58 year Legion member of Branch #18, Wallaceburg. At Adam’s request there will be no funeral home visitation. Cremation has taken place. A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. If desired donations to the Salvation Army or the War Amps would be appreciated.
