Glover: Melvin James “Mel” a resident of Dresden passed away Monday, September 6, 2010 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, PG Campus at the age of 59. He was born in Chatham son of the late James and Helen (Hooper) Glover. Mel coached hockey in Dresden and Ridgetown and he also coached Dresden Minor Baseball for several years. He was a member of the Steel Workers Union, CAW Local 2168 Union Rep. and Benefits Rep. at Lear. He also worked for many years at Waltec Faucets. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Atchinson) Glover. Loving dad of Sherisse & Jeremy Hooper of St. Thomas, Cheryl & Jason Graham of St. Thomas, Diana & Dale Pietens of Dresden and Ryan Glover of Dresden. Cherished papa of Amber and Connor Graham and Justin Pietens. He is predeceased by his best friend George Onland. Family and friends will be received at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North Street, Dresden on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Robert Elka officiating. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation.
