Obituary of Julia Faust
FAUST: Julia passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance,
Sydenham Campus on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. Born 93 years ago in Camden Township, Julia was the eldest daughter to Hilliard Wilson Boyle and Lora Leeson Boyle.
A graduate of London Normal School, Julia was an accomplished teacher, who studied fashion design at Eastern Michigan University, and in the UK at Manchester School of Design. Active in many organizations including the Port Credit Yacht Club, the Canadian Women’s Club in Freeport, and the United Church of Canada, Julia will be remembered by all who knew her for her vision and skill as a designer and seamstress. At the top of her reading list was the Vogue Pattern Book, to which she subscribed for 75 years. Her wardrobe for every occasion was a work of art, of her own design and crafting. And she never wore the same creation twice!
Julia was cherished mother to John Faust, and grandmother to John Faust Jr. and Allison, Julianne (Faust) Hall and Jeff, and James Faust. She is predeceased by her first husband John (“Jack”) Faust, her daughter-in-law Gina Faust, husband Thomas A. Faust, sister Bessie Boyle Nelson, and brother David Boyle. She is also survived by her brother James Boyle, sister Ruthie Reid, and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria Street, Thamesville on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until the Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m., with the Reverend Marc Reid officiating.
